\nBULAWAYO \u2013 PATIENCE and unity have emerged as key themes at Highlanders Football Club, with club legend Alexander Maseko rallying supporters to stand firmly behind head coach Benjani Mwaruwari despite a slow start to the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Highlanders remain winless after six matches in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, drawing all their games and sitting 12th on the table.<\/p>\n

While some supporters have expressed frustration, Maseko has urged calm, emphasising long-term vision over short-term results.<\/p>\n

Speaking after Highlanders\u2019 goalless draw against Scotland FC at Rufaro Stadium lasy week, Maseko said: \u201cHad to watch Bosso vs Scotland in Harare, what a game. I believe the team with all the support we give Benji (Benjani Mwaruwari) and his technical team from all Bosso supporters and former players, we will go far.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cToday’s game (last Sunday) was superb, nothing wrong with a draw, the boys performed well. The only thing we all need to do is to rally behind the team. All will be well. Ngiyabonga (thank you).\u201d<\/p>\n

Maseko\u2019s message highlights a crucial reality in football: stability and backing for a coach are often the foundation of success.<\/p>\n

Early-season struggles are not uncommon, particularly when a new coach is implementing fresh tactics, rebuilding squad confidence, or integrating new players.<\/p>\n
